Abstract
This article aims to analyze the role of the Office of the Comptroller General in promoting integrity in the private sector through the "Pro-Ethics" initiative, which seeks to encourage companies of various sizes, regardless of their economic activities, to voluntarily adopt integrity and governance policies, as well as measures to prevent and fight corruption. Assuming that the problem of corruption is a social phenomenon that goes beyond the public sphere and, therefore, must be confronted with the effective participation of both the public and private sectors, the article analyzes some market redefinitions that have led companies to commit to prevention and remediation of acts of corruption at greater length. It also examines the role of the Office of the Comptroller General that, by joining public and private efforts and resources through the "Pro-Ethics" program, has been able to raise awareness in the private sector of its role in reducing corruption and promoting ethics and integrity among private companies, as well as a regulatory analysis of the Pro-Ética regulations for the edition corresponding to the 2022-2023 biennium.
