THE INTERNATIONAL ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION BASED ON THE DECOLONIAL ECOFEMINIST PARADIGM FOR TACKLING CLIMATE CHANGE

Abstract

This paper aims discuss international environmental protection based on the decolonial paradigm proposed by ecofeminist theory, considering the context of the climate emergency currently underway. To this end, using an exploratory and inductive methodology, through bibliographic techniques, with a special focus on literature relevant to the proposed themes. The argumentative path begins with the presentation of brief notes on climate change as a global emergency and its effects on the way of life of people and communities. Next, the research focuses on the conceptual understanding of the ecofeminist proposal as an alternative to facing the ecological crisis. Further on, some considerations about environmental protection at the international level will be highlighted, in order to, in the end, evaluate the reformulation of the sustainability paradigm to the postulate of ecofeminism.
