CRIMINAL COMPLIANCE IN CLINICAL AND HOSPITAL ENVIRONMENTS: PREVENTION OF ILLEGAL ACTIVITIES AND BUSINESS RISK MANAGEMENT

Abstract
This article analyzes the implementation of criminal compliance in clinical and hospital environments. Using the deductive method and supported by bibliographic analysis, as well as case studies focused on the Israelita Albert Einstein Hospital, the study emphasizes the ability of compliance to mitigate illicit activities and contribute to business risk management. The central issue lies in the effectiveness of criminal compliance as a tool to prevent illegal acts and enhance governance in healthcare institutions. The analysis is based on the interpretation of existing regulations, such as the Anti-Corruption Law and the General Data Protection Law (LGPD), investigating how these legislations influence the adoption of compliance practices. Among the main conclusions, it is highlighted that the implementation of criminal compliance programs not only strengthens the integrity of institutions by preventing fraud and corruption but also promotes greater sustainability and reputation, contributing to compliance with the ethical and legal standards required in the healthcare sector.
