The Principle of Fraternity and the Use of Technologies in Building Fair Cities

Abstract
The construction of just cities is one of the central challenges of contemporary urbanism. Amid technological and social transformations, it becomes necessary and imperative to rethink the guiding principles that orient urban organization and development. Among these principles, the principle of fraternity, originating from the French Revolution, stands out as an essential value, as it suggests a model of coexistence based on solidarity, cooperation, collectivity, social awareness, and mutual care between people and the city itself. In light of this, the present article explores how the principle of fraternity can be integrated into the use of technologies for the construction of more just and inclusive cities, as well as in urban planning. The research encompasses the analysis of the principle of fraternity (in the constitutional and humanistic spheres), the contextualization of cities and technology, the integration between fraternity and technology, and finally, the feasibility of application in cities. The methodological approach is doctrinal and bibliographic, with deductive writing.
