Abstract

This article aims to highlight the anti-legal nature of patriarchy, as it attacks the dignity, freedom and self-determination of women. To this end, we start with semi-structured interviews with two women in a common work environment to, based on their experiences, discuss the impacts of sexism and machismo on the realization of their human rights. From the reports of both interviews, it is possible to perceive harassment, moral and sexual, as a constant in interpersonal relationships, although the mitigation of basic rights is not limited to this. In fact, data demonstrates the impact of discrimination on average monthly income and access to new technologies as factors that compromise the emancipatory horizon for subordinated identities, especially black women. It is concluded that the impact of patriarchal culture on labor relations is notorious, resulting in the naturalization of violence and material inequality, as well as indelible damage to the subjectivity of women victims of this context.
